Saman needs a Summer Job!!!

Hey everyone, this is a request to do some brainstorming with me. I am without employment for this summer, and as much as I'd like to draw robots and monsters all day, I need the money.

Anyone have any ideas??? I'd like to NOT end up with some menial service job, but that might happen and that would be okay (if any of those places would even hire me).

I'd love to try and get a creative job of some sort, as I have been getting more and more involved in art over the past year or so.
I also know how to fix macintosh computers pretty well. I think I'll be applying at some places where those skills could be put to use, but I doubt the apple store or firsttech would be hiring.

Any ideas?

LOST CREEK FARM

We now own Lost Creek Farm.
Our offer was accepted at 3pm.

We bought the farm with another couple that we will split it with.
We will build a place in the open field on the top of the bluff.
I'm thinking of a rammed earth house. What do you think?

Help me with some ideas for the farm.
Apple cider, wool, apple vinegar, furniture, art etc.

My friend Sotera bought a place near by and two other friends are starting a vineyard one mile away. We're all moving to the country!

The farm is four miles from where Laura Ingels Wilder grew up.
This is exciting because I am a fan of Little House on the prairie.

FOSTER/BENRUD UPDATE

I finally figured out this family blog site.
It's a busy week for ne.
Greg and I went to Mexico and looked for property last week and decided that we do not want to own a place in Mexico. Too many headaches.
While we were in the Baja, we found out that a farm in Wisconsin that we are interested in came on the market.
Tonight we are writing up and offer for 140 acres on a bluff over looking the Mississippi.
I'm very nervous and very excited.
This could be our transition to a country life.
Keep your fingers crossed that they accept our offer.

Information about the Blog

Hi Everyone!

I'm glad you are all interested expanding the space in which our family exists! We can make great use of this site.

I'd really like to talk in person with you guys about how it works! Until then, here is some info:

1. I recommend you all to "subscribe" to the family blog RSS feed. Here are directions for those of you with Macs:
There are a number of ways to do this, but the easiest was is to create a new bookmark folder in safari and put it on your bookmark bar. Go to the blog website, and click on the "RSS" button in the address dialogue box. Once that page loads, copy that feed URL and put the feed address into the bookmark folder. After that is completed, whenever a new post is made to the blog, a number will show up after the name of the folder.

Of course, you can also just visit the family blog site directy if you want.

2. You should all be able to post blog entries after becoming a contributor to the blog through the E-mails I have sent out. So far I have sent invitations to the following E-mail addresses:

mugfase@yahoo.com sent 3/5/07
mayabenrud@yahoo.com sent 3/5/07
benrud@lcp2.net sent 3/5/07
joanna.renn@genmills.com sent 3/5/07
sophiafaithb@yahoo.com sent 3/5/07
qwertymug@comcast.net sent 3/5/07
davidbenrud@mac.com sent 3/5/07
benru001@umn.edu

I am just about to send blogger invitations to Asha's personal E-mail and yarrow's yahoo account:
mugfase@yahoo.com,
joannarenn@excite.com

have you guys received these E-mails? Have you been able to become contributors?

3. Here's how you post pictures on the blog:

First, they need to be hosted on the internet. This can be done through a .mac account or a free flickr account . Flickr is an image hosting site that makes it really easy to post pictures.

once you have the image hosted, copy its URL (should end in .jpg or .png), and post it here using this format:
< img src="image URL" >
except without the spaces between the tags(< >) and the content.

Here's an example:

If you have any questions, it'd be easiest to post them here! If you can't do that, E-mail me.

Blog Open

Hi Family! I started this space for all of us to use to communicate. Post happenings in your life, thoughts on the family, or anything at all.

I want to eventually get a whole site made, but for now this should be good!
